I have a tendency to be a pretty good convincer. Historically, I haven’t used that skill for instigating the best decisions. I could come up with a million reasons that it’s a good idea to drink 7-9 beers with your top off in a Bolivian pool at 8 in the morning, and hypothetically, you would then do it (not that that’s ever happened Mom).
I have done some growing up and baby having, so my convincing skills are a little rusty (although not entirely out of practice). So, how about I just tell you what I want. I want you to run Ste. Chapelle with me. There is a 5k, 10k, 1/2 marathon, and full marathon. I will be running the full marathon, 2 of my best best friends forever and ever will be joining in on the 10k, and my dear Mom will be running the 5k. Pick your distance, and sign up. It will be fantastic, we can be each other’s cheerleaders…with wine tasting at the end!
There is always a correlation between how nervous I am, and the number of my friends/family that I register for races without them knowing, then just emailing them their confirmation. I am pretty nervous about my first marathon, so watch your back. Don’t make me sign you up, because I will. Seriously. http://www.runstechapelle.com/
“If you run, you are a runner. It doesn’t matter how fast or how far. It doesn’t matter if today is your first day or if you’ve been running for twenty years. There is no test to pass, no license to earn, no membership card to get. You just run.” -John Bingham
