The title of my blog doesn’t reflect my actual body image. I simply thought it was cute and catchy and a good way to keep things light-hearted. The truth is that when I started running, I was in the “obese” BMI category…which is such a vague stupid term.

I have never really had an issue with my self-confidence or a major aversion to my appearance, but I did have a pretty major problem with my ability to adequately, physically meet the needs of my two small children. And that was before the littlest one could walk. I made some changes, and fell in love with something that is good for me.

Sometimes people get fussy when fit people call themselves fat. Please understand, I am not calling myself a fatty. But I’ve worked hard to get where I am currently, so I reserve the right to call my past self anything I want.
